A few years ago I picked up a paintbrush again (after a 20-year hiatus). Shortly after, M.Herriott Art was born. My first design clients were people who had commissioned paintings from me. They came to our house to pick up their paintings and asked who designed our home. To which I replied, "you're looking at her."
I respect your money the same way I do my own and pride myself on finding interesting pieces at great prices. Since design isn't one size fits all I offer design services at various price points.
It’s important to note that M. Herriott Designs is an interior styling firm. We do not offer renovation, demolition, or project management services. But... if you need help picking paint colors, selecting furniture, and pairing it all with the right rug - welcome, you are in the right place.

Some clients book a virtual consultation so they can get real-time advice, tips, and suggestions. We get on a video call and tour their space with them. We look at everything with fresh, creative eyes then tell them what we would do if we were there redesigning. This meeting gives them new ideas for color, layout, scale and how to incorporate their desired aesthetic with what they already have. Their only investment is a virtual consultation. (local and long distance friendly)

Many clients come to us frustrated. They have spent hours... days... weeks scouring the internet only to buy things and not like them together. Or, they are so overwhelmed with options that they never end up making a decision. We can make a list then source for the items that have you stumped, a full room, or help you with your entire home top to bottom. (local and long distance friendly)

Many of our local clients ask us back to install their redesigned spaces. For installs we do it all. We shop for the perfect finishing touches, assemble furniture, hang curtains, swap out old lights, arrange rugs and furniture, decorate, clean and leave you with an entirely new space! We can come for one day to complete one room, or work together for months designing full homes top to bottom. (Charlotte, NC area only)
